After starting out with a penny collection, most serious collectors get to the point they want some of these. Many were melted, and you can not trust the official mintage records. Highly sought after in uncirculated and proof-like grades, they are fought for eagerly. Most collectors acquire them in circulated grades after they get the "common" coins.
