Originating in 1916, and often called the "Winged Liberty," the coin persevered until 1946, when it was replaced by the Roosevelt. Always elusive to find in gem unc., fully struck band coins command premiums. A beautiful coin by anyone's standards in gem BU, but early issues are scarce.
